Mityvac MVA660 Universal Power Steering Adapter is used for removing trapped air from automobile power steering systems. This adapter was developed to reduce bleed time following power steering repairs. Featuring a universal cone-shaped rubber body; the adapter seals pump necks ranging from 5/8 up to 1-5/8 In. internal diameter; thus adapting to the varying diameters of many automotive power steering reservoirs to form an airtight seal when vacuum is applied. Once the adapter is installed and a Mityvac hand vacuum pump is connected; the air bubbles can be loosened by simply working the steering.MVA660 is designed to connect to Mityvac MV8000 or MV8500 hand vacuum pumps to exert a vacuum on the fluid surface of the reservoir. As trapped air works its way out of the system; the vacuum prevents foam from forming at the surface and air from reentering the system.
