The axle hub bearing retaining nut design has been changed from powdered metal to forged steel for improved durability and performance. Due to the design change; the drive nut interface also changed; and CH-49794 will not work with this new design. CH-50636 has 9 drive pins in place of the 6 drive tangs on CH-49794; and will allow the specified torque to be reached to set proper preload. Unapproved methods can damage the bearing; or result in less than desired service life.
